Vlada worked as a truck driver during the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999. Tasked with transporting a mysterious load from Kosovo to Belgrade, he drives through unfamiliar territory, trying to make his way in a country scarred by the war. He knows that once the job is over, he will need to return home and face the consequences of his actions.
This film is based on a real-life incident that took place in Serbia in the 1990s, explored in detail by Ognjen Glavonic in his documentary Depth Two (2016). He now presents the story in the form of a drama. Vlada is a truck driver tasked with transporting a mysterious load. During his journey, he picks up a boy who has left home to travel to a new world. Once the job is over, he faces the consequences of his actions and learns a painful lesson. The sober narrative fraught with obsession and introspection seeks to uncover a hidden truth.
