Fifty years after the events of May 68, Dany Cohn-Bendit and Romain Goupil have decided to start a journey across France. In this “road movie,” they explore the territories ─ at times bewildering ─ of the Republic. Two old children of 68 observe, listen, debate and discover the state of the country.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of May 1968, Romain Goupil travels throughout France with Daniel Cohn-Bendit, the leader of the student group at that time. This documentary includes episodes of ordinary people, factory workers and farmers they meet on the street. In this journey of discovering present-day France, various concerns and hopes intersect. Through conversations, one can take a glimpse of the portrait of France through the eyes of the generations of May 1968 who took the lead in the great uprising and revolution. [JANG Byungwon]
