For Minseo, who is only 15 years old, life is a daily struggle. She has to look after her baby brother, work at a part-time job and deal with school bullies. She happens to meet a granny who is a “Cane-Fu” master. But the granny has dementia, so her mind wanders sometimes. Nonetheless, Minseo has to learn martial arts from her. Come at me!
A part-timer at a convenience store is worried about her little brother who spends time in the park while she's at work. One day, she finds out that her brother has befriended an elderly lady in the park with mild dementia. The lady turns out to be a master of martial arts. Although the setting is highly cliched, the film inverts a typical situation into an atypical one, inducing a sense of hope and optimism. [KIM Youngjin]
