A film of a sloth, using three-color separation to show sloth time.
* This film would be screened as You can’t Imagine Nothing at the Expanded Plus.
Ben Rivers’ Now, At Last! extracts the essence of cinema from an animal’s movement. To show the endless postponement of time, Ben Rivers takes a close look at a sloth climbing a tree. The running has been extended to 40 minutes because it deals with duration in accordance with film-movements. As the sloth moves slowly from the bottom up to the middle of a tree, it faces two changing points. At two points during the film ─ once when the sloth reaches the middle of the branch and the film reaches 25 minutes ─ the image changes to the full color vision. Expanded Plus presents a five-minute long edition titled You Can’t Imagine Nothing. [JANG Byungwon]
