Saeed is a cinema lover trying to teach other young people in Eastern Ghouta, Syria, but the reality he faces is too harsh. His friend Milad is in nearby, but it seems like they are a world away, under regime control. At one point, Milad decides to leave and join Saeed living under siege in Douma.
Saeed and Milad live in different cities in Syria. Cinephile Saeed teaches film to the young people in Eastern Ghouta. Milad just finished studying art in Damascus, under the Assad regime. But the reality they are facing is too harsh to describe it into the language of art. Co-directors Ghiath Ayoub and Saeed Al Batal personally demonstrates “If art does not resist, then it means nothing.” This ingenious study on film and reality allows one to face the desire and freedom of young artists.
