Cha has to spend the weekend attending her senior utive’s family funeral, and being stuck with her nitpicking team leader and an overzealous intern is exhausting her. And if things weren’t bad enough, after Cha and the intern accidentally spill soup on their team leader’s white shirt, they both have to go in search of a new one.
"I just want to do a good job." This line by Minji sums up one aspect of her generation. Assistant Manager Cha goes the extra mile for Minji and covers up her mistakes step by step ─ perhaps out of a sense of responsibility mingled with irritation. Even without its cinematic perspective, the film is no different from reality. Assistant Manager Cha, who guides reality in the middle of a commotion, becomes our portrait. [CHI Seunghak]
